Louise is an insect biologist that focuses on educational and behavioral interactions between insects, humans and the environment. She blends social sciences with entomology and utilizes qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, and community-based participatory research to explore these interactions, often using community science, science communication and science education as stages. Louise coordinates and advises for the Insect Science undergraduate program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She infuses One Health principles into the courses she teaches, including:
