Abbey enjoys working with Nebraska One Health because it allows her to combine her love for animals and nature with her art and design expertise. She maintains the Nebraska One Health website, designs outreach and educational materials, illustrates artwork for the Nebraska One Health Illustration Series, and supports the planning of stakeholder meetings and outreach events.

Abbey is a graphic designer and fine artist with a deep appreciation for the natural world. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, specializing in graphic design and printmaking. She is currently a Web & Graphics Designer with IANR Media, where she designs for a wide range of university units and external partners. Her work spans digital design, web management, publication layout, scientific figure development, and illustration—often centered on the connections between people, animals, plants, and the environment.

Throughout her career, Abbey has collaborated with programs and organizations such as Nebraska One Health, the Center for Resilience in Agricultural Working Landscapes, the Native American Coalition, the Department of Entomology, Tick Tag Go, Nebraska 4-H, Nebraska Extension, Nebraska Double Up Food Bucks, the Nebraska Department of Education’s Harvest of the Month program, Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, and the Equitarian Initiative. Through all of her work, she strives to connect art, nature, and community in meaningful ways, always seeking new ways to tell stories through thoughtful design and illustration.
