Overview / Symptoms
- Transmitted between animals through inhaling air particles from an infected animal or eating/drinking from contaminated object
- Animals may exhibit signs of emaciation, lethargy, weakness, anorexia, low-grade fever, and pneumonia with a chronic, moist cough.
Lymph nodes may also be enlarged
- Humans become infected through consuming unpasteurized dairy products, direct contact with a wound from a sick animal, or inhaling contaminated air particles from an infected person
