Overview / Symptoms

  • Symptoms in animals include: fever, staggering, difficulty breathing, trembling, collapsing, unconsciousness, and seizures. Sometimes Anthrax will cause death in animals
  • Transmitted to animals through injesting anthrax spores while grazing
  • Transmitted to humans through working with infected animals or animal products, and eating raw or undercooked meat from infected animals
  • Not contagious
